A very good friend of a friend of mine, a Jamaican named Juani, married a Dutch woman, and the happy couple moved to the Netherlands. Upon arriving in Amsterdam, Juani, for the first time in his life, saw his breath in the cold air of Europe. Having never before seen this phenomenon, the Caribbean native believed that his soul was escaping and he thought that he was dying. Within a year Juani was dead of an undiagnosed lung cancer.
