The brief, epic period during a full-blown Edo Japan when the Komuso were free and unadulterated by inescapable societal perversions–in the case, by the inevitable use of public anonymity for political purposes–will remain an astounding example of ineffable human beauty, a testament that humans are the true authors of all things great, so great no God could have done as well.
