John Coltrane, the consummate seeker, innovator, paradigm expander, spiritual quester and musical GIANT, revolutionized and transformed jazz and modern music on his fearless journey into the infinity of inner space. He has been canonized as a saint by the African Orthodox Church and won a posthumous Pulitzer Prize for “masterful improvisation, supreme musicianship and iconic centrality to the history of jazz.” Here are some of my favorite cuts from the man who has had a profound and lasting influence on all members of the Komuso Collective.
